Major/Essential Functions
- Provides comprehensive care and diagnosis in Pediatric Rheumatology to newborns, children and adolescents
- Supervises medical students, residents and advanced practice professional in the clinical setting
- Participates in the education of medical students and residents
- Conducts research and scholarly activities within the Department of Pediatrics
- Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Demonstrate Professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine’s Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility

Preferred Qualifications
- Board certified in general pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics
- Board Certified in pediatric rheumatology by the American Board of Pediatrics
- Bilingual (English and Spanish Preferred)
- Experience in teaching students and residents in Pediatric Rheumatology
- Emerging or established regional or national reputation for the rank of associate professor or higher

Required Qualifications
- M.D/D.O. degree or foreign medical equivalent degree
- Successful completion of an ACGME accredited Pediatrics Residency Program
- Successful completion of an ACGME accredited Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship Program
- Full, unrestricted Texas medical license or eligible to obtain a Texas State Medical License
