Major/Essential Functions
- Provides patient care and diagnosis in Pediatric Nephrology to newborns, children and adolescents
- Determines nature and extend of disease or injury
- Prescribes and administers medication
- Supervises mid-level providers in the clinical setting
- Ensure compliance with HIPPA and billing regulations
- Participate in research and scholarly activities in the Department of Pediatrics
- Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the PLFSOM Declaration of Faculty Professionalism Responsibilities
- Participate in the education of medical students and residents of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso Paul L. Foster School of Medicine

Required Qualifications
- M.D. / D.O. degree or foreign medical equivalent degree
- Successful completion of ACGME-accredited Pediatrics Residency Program
- Successful completion of ACGME-accredited Pediatric Nephrology Fellowship Program
- Eligible to obtain a Texas State Medical License
- Board Certified in Pediatric Nephrology by the American Board of Pediatrics
